BHB provided civil and MEP design for a new building at Fort Worth Country Day (FWCD). The Lou and Nick Martin Campus Center houses a 2,200 SF commons for multiuse activities and specially designed meeting and exhibitions. Showcases and a legacy wall run throughout the building, marking milestones in FWCD’s history. An expansive patio area is suitable for outdoor activities and anchors a landscaped path through the interior campus.

The grand lobby, named the Amon G. Carter Reception Hall, serves as the campus hub and connects FWCD’s most frequent destinations including the FWCD Scott Theatre and Sid W. Richardson Gyms. As part of the project, significant improvements were made to the theatre, including a new tech control room, electrical upgrades, handicap access and HVAC. A new audio/visual system streams campus news and will be able to simulcast theatrical productions on large monitors in the central commons.
