BHB provided engineering services for two distribution facilities in Allen and Fort Worth that are owned by Andrews Distributing Company, a regional beer distributor. Our electrical and mechanical engineers and designers worked closely with Magee Architects on both warehouse projects.

For the Fort Worth location, BHB provided the engineering design for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and refrigeration systems for the 500,000 square-foot facility. The distribution center encompasses a fully air-conditioned warehouse with 55 loading dock doors, refrigerated cold storage, refrigerated low temperature keg vault, two lane indoor drive through truck loading area, truck wash and detailing facility, and administrative offices. The project will be LEED certified. Back-up power is provided by three emergency generators. Control for the LED lighting is provided by RF wireless control system, and the electrical distribution system is designed to accommodate roof mounted, one megawatt photovoltaic solar array.

BHB also provided the MEP engineering design for the location in Allen, Texas which consisted of the HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, lighting and power design for an office, warehouse and controlled-temperature distribution facility on a site of approximately twenty five acres. The 380,000 SF facility consists of approximately 25% office space, 15% loading and unloading dock areas, and about 60% controlled-temperature warehousing for refrigerated beer storage. Two electrical service entrances were provided to accommodate the physical size of the facility and a diesel driven generator was furnished at each service to provide emergency power for life safety systems.
