Baird, Hampton & Brown provided civil and MEP engineering and land surveying services for the Parker County Hospital District Immunizations and Outreach Center. The Outreach Center serves local residents by providing accessible healthcare services such as cholesterol screenings, child and adult immunizations, blood pressure testing, and CPR classes.
The existing building was torn down for construction of the new 8,200 SF, one-story facility which includes immunization rooms, offices, and 1,000 SF of garage space.
BHB land surveyors provided a topographic survey of the 1.5-acre site for design purposes, prepared the required minor plat, and later provided a form board survey and construction staking. To help reduce the building’s footprint, BHB created site construction plans that use almost every area for building, parking, sidewalks, or mechanical yard.
The electrical scope for this project included a natural gas-fed backup generator that would restore power to the clinic’s vaccine storage coolers. LED lighting throughout the building and children’s waiting area was also provided in the final design.

Key People
-
Scott Crawford, PE
Scott Crawford, PE
Associate | Senior Civil Engineer
Although Scott Crawford grew up with dreams of becoming a veterinarian, his aptitude for math became apparent at a young age, sealing his destiny to become an engineer like his father. A civil engineer and project manager at BHB since January of 2017, Scott brings 15 previous years of experience in North Central Texas to the company. His specialties include water and wastewater design, utility coordination and permitting, roadway design, private multifamily development, construction administration, and municipal impact fee calculation.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys cooking and building things. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and dogs – preferably at the beach. As a graduate of Texas A&M he loves to visit College Station, and occasionally moonlights as Batman (but you didn’t hear that from us). When asked for words to live by, he quotes Eleanor Roosevelt: “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

Toby Stock, RPLS
Toby Stock, RPLS
Project Manager | Senior Land Surveyor
He would have been the fifth generation of his family to become a farmer and rancher, but as he grew up on the family farm, Toby became more intrigued by history and exploration. In many ways, having been raised to have an appreciation for the land ultimately piqued his interest in modern day mapping and led him to land surveying.
During one summer in college Toby worked as a park ranger at Lake Proctor. He faced the daunting task of light bulb inventory throughout the park—this helped him realize that government work was not for him. He went on to work as a land surveyor on oil and gas projects throughout Texas for 11 years before joining BHB, where he now leads the firm’s land surveying team in Weatherford.
He enjoys spending time with his family and nieces, whom, at their young age, appreciate his “Uncle” humor. Outside of work, if the conditions are just right, he’ll attempt a round at one of the area golf courses. Toby’s words to live by: “Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”

Gibran Michel, DBIA, LEED AP
Gibran Michel, DBIA, LEED AP
Senior Associate | Senior Mechanical Designer
Gibran Michel has been with BHB since 1996. A year after high school, he started with BHB as a drafter and absorbed as much information as he could concerning HVAC and plumbing design. Since that time, he has gone on to learn what he can about the other engineering tasks that goes into the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings. With this knowledge, he has been able to help his clients from the very start of on their projects. Including site selection, zoning changes, overall site utility advisement, building space planning, and many other tasks that are involved in this process.
During his design time with BHB, he has worked on everything from a 1,500 square-foot retail space all the way to a 500,000 square-foot distribution center for a major beer supplier. Projects have included schools/universities, churches, hospitals, retail, multi-family, high-rise buildings, warehouses, and everything in between.
After 20 years of design experience over thousands of projects, he began developing good relationships with clients that started pulling him away from the day-to-day design of their projects and turned him into the direct contact for the client. For BHB, Gibran become an overall project manager that was able to coordinate design efforts for all the engineering for his clients’ projects as well as a focal point within the company for projects that had difficulties during construction.
When he is not working, he likes to spend time with his wife, Molley, along with working out 4 to 5 times a week. His favorite place to vacation is the Caribbean with its’ warm weather and great beaches. You can also ask him about his own experiences handling home repairs, building a 200-foot-long railroad tie retaining wall or updating a 100+ year old cabin on his family property outside Lampasas, Texas.
