Baird, Hampton & Brown, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm, recently announced nine promotions to further the growth and expertise of the company. Paul Morris, PE, Mario Calzada, PE, Daniel Franklin, PE, and Skylar Wierzbicki, PE, were all promoted to Associate. While Kirk Plum, PE, Chris Fowler, Lindsay Lafferty, PE, Peter Caravano, PE, and Omar Rubio, PE, were all promoted to Project Manager. BHB couldn’t be happier to announce these well-deserving individuals.
Paul Morris, PE, has been with BHB for over ten years. He is an electrical engineer with experience in design and construction administration. Mr. Morris works with many of the firm’s municipal, multi-family, and hospitality projects. Mr. Morris is involved with the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
Mario Calzada, PE, has been at BHB for over ten years. Mr. Calzada’s experience as an electrical engineer includes industrial, faith-based, and commercial projects. One of his specialties is working with clients in the higher education market. His experience includes notable projects at TCU, SMU, and various Tarrant County College campus sites.
Daniel Franklin, PE, has been a civil engineer with BHB for 11 years. Mr. Franklin’s background includes public improvement and site development projects. He has designed numerous roadways, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and stormwater conveyance systems.
Skylar Wierzbicki, PE, has been a part of BHB for over eight years. She is a civil engineer with experience designing sizeable multi-phase site development projects, public infrastructure, and water and sewer rehab projects. Mrs. Wierzbicki’s skills include examining hydrologic and hydraulic flood analysis utilizing HEC-RES and HEC-HMS. Skylar serves as Assistant City Engineer for the Town of Edgecliff Village and Development Review Engineer for the City of Keller.
Kirk Plum, PE, came to BHB full-time in January 2019 following three summers as an intern and completing his master’s in mechanical and energy engineering. His experience is primarily in K-12 and higher education, including mechanical and plumbing systems design, hydronic systems design, VAV systems, and energy models. Mr. Plum is a LEED Green Associate passionate about designing energy-efficient and owner-friendly MEP systems. He is also involved with the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, ASHRAE, and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
Chris Fowler began his career in electrical engineering at BHB after graduating in 2000. Mr. Fowler has extensive experience providing electrical designs for commercial, healthcare, and education projects. He specializes in classroom additions, upgrades, construction projects, and sporting facilities.
Lindsay Lafferty, PE, started with BHB as an intern and was hired full-time as a civil engineer in 2017 after graduating. Her experience grew as she worked on various projects, including drainage studies and improvements, water line replacements, site layouts, and grading. She is an active member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Peter Caravano, PE, has been with BHB for over four years and in the industry for six. Mr. Caravano is a civil engineer with experience on many commercial and municipal projects, including land development, roadway rehabilitation and design, water and sewer rehabilitation and design, and flood and drainage studies. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Omar Rubio, PE, joined BHB six years ago after graduating with a degree in civil engineering. He has experience in various public improvement, land development, and heavy industrial projects. These projects include roadway design, water and sewer design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and site development.
