Baird, Hampton & Brown is excited to announce our inclusion on Engineering News-Record Texas & Louisiana’s Top Design Firms list. In our first year to rank amongst the region’s largest design firms, we have come in at #72 overall and #10 in the Master-Planned Development/Site Infrastructure sector. We’re honored to be included alongside many accomplished firms, and especially with so many representing the robust growth of Texas firms in 2019.
Last year served as the culmination of several years of impressive growth for BHB–we saw a total revenue growth of 40% since 2016, and were listed on Fort Worth Inc’s Fastest-Growing Companies list. The firm was also recognized by the Zweig Group as #11 on their 2019 Best Firms to Work For (100-199 employees) list.
The past year has also seen some noteworthy projects at BHB. In particular, The Sinclair, a historic Fort Worth office building built in 1929 was completely renovated into a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel that finished construction to open in January 2020. The firm provided civil and MEP engineering services for the 16-story renovation totaling over 100,000 square feet.
Our largest regional project to start in 2019 was the renovation of the 16000 Block Rolling Pin Barracks at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, for which BHB provided MEP engineering. This $42 million project, with design-build partners SLA Architects and Guyco, Inc., included the complete renovations of five dormitory buildings, each three stories tall with a basement arms room. This was our second rolling pin barracks renovation project, the first including a similar renovation of five barracks on the 12000 block which began in 2018.
We are thankful to our staff and building partners in Texas and beyond for the firm’s continued growth, and look forward to working with you for years to come.
