With a group of 11 interns in electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineering, as well as two administrative interns, BHB has assembled a dynamic and ambitious cohort of college students eager to dip their toes into the world of engineering. Our internship program has long been a valuable asset to our team, providing us with a continuous influx of budding talent. We are thrilled to introduce you to the talented individuals who have joined our team this summer.
ELECTRICAL
Erik Manis | Electrical Intern

Erik works remotely for BHB while he finishes his degree, and through this internship, he hopes to meet like-minded people to help him learn things that he simply cannot get from school. “Education is wonderful, but application is more important,” he said. His goal after school is to start investing and begin growing his wealth while he’s still young. The newlywed and his wife hope to buy a house shortly after graduation as their first big investment. In his free time, Erik does woodworking, building things like bookshelves, desks, cigar boxes, and more, a self-taught skill learned through trial and error.
Jake Johnson | Electrical Intern
Texas Tech University 2024 – Electrical Engineering
Jake is an electrical engineering major at Texas Tech University planning to graduate next summer. Growing up in Bedford, Texas, Jake dreamed of being a cattle rancher, but he decided to follow an engineering career path instead. His favorite movie is Count of Monte Cristo, favorite TV show is The Grand Tour, and his favorite music genre is heavy metal. When Jake is not spending his free time golfing, he also enjoys powerlifting competitions, and he actually competed in Nationals this year with his team! MECHANICAL
Cade Rogan | Mechanical Intern
Texas Tech University 2023 – Mechanical Engineering
Cade is a mechanical engineering student at Texas Tech University who plans to graduate later this year in December. Growing up in North Richland Hills, Cade dreamed of being an aerospace engineer, but decided to choose a different career path. When Cade is not watching his favorite movie The Martian, he enjoys working on and racing cars, as well as hunting. Cade hopes to gain “knowledge and experience in the mechanical engineering field” during his internship at BHB and he plant to take the FE exam after college. One fun fact about Cade is that he got second place in a NASP Texas State Archery tournament!

Although Norah struggles to choose a single favorite song, a few of her favorites include Islands in the Stream, There is Something on Your Mind, and Vienna. During her time at BHB, Norah hopes to “gain a new perspective of engineering that can’t be taught in school and (she) hopes that this experience will guide (her) on how to prepare for the future.” Her post-graduate plans include working to become a PE, returning to school to earn her Ph.D., and further help guide future generations of civil engineers. One thing you should know about Norah is that she is a mom to two male cats named Nito and Arlo!
